Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, better known for her stage name Ashanti was born on 13 October 1981 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American songwriter, singer and actress. Ashanti was a star when she was an teen, and was eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records by 2002. In the same year, she was featured in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also appeared on the song by Fat Joe, What's the Luv? She became the first female artist to be in the highest two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at number one, and Luv? at number two. Luv? She was the first female artist holding both of the Top two spots on the The Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States, with Foolish at number one and the other being What's Loving? The Declaration is the fourth Ashanti studio album. The album was made available through Murder Inc. on the 3rd of June, 2008. Hey Baby (After The Club) hit radios and digital outlets on October 16. She starred in the film Christmas in the City and played Latasha Montclair on Army Wives. Aitch sampled Rock wit U in his Baby 10th March 2022.
